No routing for deleted whatsapp chats

If some number has been chating over whatsapp with us and the chat has been subsequently deleted then if the same number writes to us again, we just get the following error

Unable to parse message from provider whatsapp. Error: Cannot find valid routing for incoming Whatsapp message to number: +420XXXXXXXXX

Is it possible for the same number to write to us again?

Whatsapp message usually expire within 24 hours. You can only respond to a whatsapp message within 24 hours of receiving it.

You mention the chat was deleted. Was this chat resolved before deleting it? What happens if the chat is not deleted but just resolved?
