Noise sound by laptop issue

Hello sir,

We are encountering an issue that what dailing out , I can hear the noise sound by my laptop ap; meanwhile , noise sound is much smaller by cell phone app.
I'm wondering if there is a way I can keep the quality but removing/reducing noise sound dramatically as well, thanks.
Current version: 18.0.5.418 , on-premise server

Hello sir,

I means if I dial out through my laptop's windows ap, not through my cell phone.
Basically we site in the office during normal office hours, so I'd like to know if there's a way to lower the background noise.

This is not something that can be configured from the PBX as this is related with your headsets. In this case you need to check the noise cancellation options that your headset might offer.

Hello sir,

Because when using Teams or other tools, I won't hear such kind of background noise.
And I try to use cell phone, it's no background noise, if I use windows client app on laptop, it will have noise very clearly.
May I know why? If 3CX's voice quality is similar with Teams, we would use 3CX happier.Thanks.

There is no setting that will cancel environment noise, this depends on the OS level and specifically on your headset. Have you checked if your headset supports noise cancellation?

Microsoft has some very good software noise cancellation built into Teams. For many years it was acknowledged that Skype probably had the best noise cancellation, of course they were one of the few VOIP clients back in the day, Microsoft bought Skype many years ago and likely implemented / improved upon it.

If you try other SIP Softphones, like Bria - does the problem exist?
