Hi Everyone,

We have updated one of our 3CX phone system into v20. Now, we are encountering an issue to some of the web client users "NOT REGISTERED" status even though they're logged in to the web client and we have enabled the notification on their browsers but the status is still the same. We also tried doing it on other browsers and still no luck. Does anyone encountered this issue after upgrading into v20?

The reason we want to solve this is you can't established a call(extension to extension) to the users with "NOT REGISTERED" status.

Thanks for this. Ill check on it and provide feedback on this thread.

You are welcome, let us know the outcome ;)

Can you please check also the below forum post and follow those steps?

Hi, we are having the same issue with one of our users, but enabling notifications is not working for her. I have tried a lot of things, from using a different browser, reseting her extension password, restarting her computer, etc.

Notificactions are enabled in the browser for the web client and I have also checked that notifications are enabled for the browser in windows settings.

She can log in and make calls, but her extension appears as not registered for the rest of us and we cannot transfer calls to her.

Our 3CX partner said to us they don't know how to fix it (and that it has happened to them) and that we should wait and hope that is fixed in a future upgrade.

Hope you can help us.

Best Regards

Same Error afte that update to V20.

If I log in with the same user who is not working on PC (A) on a PC (B) where the user is displayed as registered, both are suddenly accessible. However, only until I log off again on PC (B), then the user is also not available or not registered on PC (A).

new Edge Browser, all notifacations allowed.

Best Regards

You need to enter with FQDN private Ip not working because is not secure

On your browser, not the user, do you allow notifications?

Have you also tried Chrome?

Hello,

We've got the same issue with the V20.
We've tried with Edge, Brave and their PWAs.
Notifications, mic and camera are allowed.

The user is still unregistered.
It becomes registered when we provision a smartphone.

Best regards

If the user access the web client the other user cannot see him as registered?

This does not seem to be related with notifications. I would suggest to create a support ticket to check further.

We are also experiencing this same issue.
Users are logged into the 3CX Web Client but show as "Not Registered" and cannot accept incoming calls.
Though they can make outgoing calls even though they show as Not Registered in the Admin Console.
We have:
  • checked browser permissions.
  • tried different browsers (Chrome, Edge)
  • tried different computers
  • different login methods (M365 SSO, direct extension/password)
  • reset user's password
  • completely reset user's extension via Admin console.
Users can register with the Mobile App or New Windows Store app.
But the Web Client still does not receive calls.
Also the users don't show in the Admin Console > Phones
So far only one user out of ~40 shows as "Web Client firmware 20.0.1.673"

UPDATE: Yes, it was browser permissions after all. Strangely the user was logged into 3CX on two different browsers (Chrome and Edge) and didn't know it, and one of them didn't allow Notifications. *could Microsoft Edge have magically launched even though Chrome was set as the default browser?? I'm looking at you Microsoft  Respect user choice or we'll sick the EU Regulatory Body on you!! Okay I'm done with my rant. Long story short; with v20 check and double-check browser permissions.

@TecMate glad to know this is resolved ;)

In order to fix this in Chrome go to
chrome://settings/content/notifications?search=notifi

And Allow Notifications to your 3cx FQDN
