3CX updated to V18 Build 6 and my SMS broke. I re added the key info from Flowroute as described in the SMS tab. So now if I dial a DID the call goes to the right extension. If I send that extension a text it falls into the void, I can't see it in the activity log. If I send a text from the extension to my cell phone it will show the main trunk number and not the DID.

As a side note to this, I have a Flowroute and a Telus Trunk. For some reason I have to put the Flowroute DID numbers in the Telus trunk for them to ring through otherwise I get a busy tone. Everything was working very well before the update.

I have tried putting the DID's back in the Flowroute trunk with no success. Where am I going wrong? Isn't SMS routed directly to the DID Extension now. I also tried to create a Digital receptionist to forward the SMS to the Extension as suggested here with no success either.

Hi @Vanlon

Your DIDs need to be added in the E164 number format. So if your DIDs do not have a "+" in front of them you will need to update them and add them only under Flowroute trunk.
Also since you redid the SMS integration you will also need to update your webhook into the Flowroute portal.
The PBX will be different since you re added the trunk.

Hopefully this helps

So I had everything correct including E164 and webhook and didn't work. I deleted the trunk and recreated it same as before using screenshots, it updated the webhook so I changed that. After that everything worked. Even my DID's working in the proper trunk. Must have been a glitch in the older version that carried over and made it not work.

Also my SMS's route with DID bidirectionally through a queue without the need for a DR which the sticky post suggests. That said, I have queues with only one User in them.

You can route numbers to single extensions, Ring Groups, Queues and even Groups.
In the case or Ring Groups and Queues all agents will receive the SMS and an agent can take ownership of that conversation.
Also all agents can send SMS using the same numbers.

The IVR is for when you want to separate your voice traffic from the SMS traffic and send them to different destinations.

Glad to see you were able to resolve your issue
