So I have setup and configured the Office 365 Integration using latest official release version of 3CX with the intention of just using the Contacts and Calendar synchronisations. I already have all the users configured and running in 3CX so don't want to change any of this by adding the user sync. All the current 3CX users have their email address set which corresponds to their Office 365 account, and as far as I understand it should be possible to have just the Contacts and Calendar sync working in this configuration.

I have followed all the steps as per the configuration guide and when I go to the Office 365 Integration settings in the 3CX management console I see the message "Status OK. Real Time Notifications to Office 365 and back are working. This means that changes from Office 365 to 3CX will be updated" which suggests that configuration is working and complete.

To test I have used the 'Sync these users' option for both Contacts and Calendars and selected my email address from the Add Users list. Problem is that I can't see that any of my 365 personal contacts have come across to 3CX and the Calendar status does not synchronise either. It's been set for over 24 hours so definitely not working.

We are using MFA and I did see an inconclusive post that suggests that it may not work, I did however use a non-MFA Office 365 Admin account to perform the setup in the hope that this may work. I also wondered whether the fact I wasn't using the User sync could be the reason but I'm sure I have seen other people on the forums that have this same scenario working.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might not be working?

So this problem appears to have been resolved by the update to v16 Update 5. I guess I will never know if its the update that fixed it or just the process of updating.

I think I had the same problem, simply put a group labelled 'Azure AD' was missing in their documentation!

After our teamviewer session we have noticed that initially the issue was caused due to the fact that the group 'Azure AD' was missing from the 3CX (issue that has already been addressed by R&D). After creating the group and recreating the O365 connection the calendar sync worked. As the issue has been resolved we are now closing this ticket.
