Hi all,

Currently, with the Office 365 calendar sync, the status are mapped as below:
  • "Busy" mapped to Do Not Disturb
  • "Out of office" / "Away" mapped to Away
  • "Working Elsewhere" mapped to Do Not Disturb
  • "Tentative" is not mapped.

Is there any way for us to customise this?

Thanks in advance

Hi @ivanh

This is not customizable at the moment.

Hi John,
We faced an issue when no 3CX calls are coming through to extensions.
Here is the scenario:
1) We enabled 3cx & O365 intergration for a customer.
2) They've tested and confirmed that if someone has a calendar appointment in their O365 calendar, the 3CX incoming call would not come through to their extension.
3) Then they wanted to customize the way 3CX/O365 statuses work, but as it was impossible, they've turned 3CX & O365 sync off (via 3CX Settings - Office 365 Integration and removed ticks from all tick boxes).
4) 3CX still would not call an extension if that person has an active O365 schedule.

How can we force 3CX to clear the calendar entries cache (or whatever is preventing the calls from coming through)?
I tried deleting the integration from Azure AD, but that did not work.

Please advise.
Tim

Hi Tim,

When a Calendar Event kicks in, in basically changes your Extension Status for a set amount of time, which is equal to the duration of the Calendar Event.
This means that even if you you disable the O365 Sync, the Extension Status would still remain in the changed status for the set amount of time.

I think that all they should need to do is to change their status back to "Available" manually.

Hi Nick, thanks for your reply.
What would happen to the Calendar events scheduled for next week, for example? Will they affect the 3CX status even after the sync is turned off? In other words, how far in advance does 3CX synchronize calendar entries with Office 365? A day? A week? A month? A year? Once synchronization has happened and then was cancelled, for how long do users have to keep changing the availability status manually?
Thank you.

If you delete a O365 Calendar Event before it's starting time, then the extension you have linked this account with should not change status at that time.
Within a few seconds after you deleted the event in O365, the PBX should also get notified about the event having been deleted.

Thanks Nick, I will keep my eyes on it.
