Hi!

We have a Call Queue set up with 1 agent, if the agent doesn't answer withing X seconds, then Ring Group kicks in.
The thing is, we sometimes have our office closed and I'd like to have the agent from Call Queue able to press a button on the phone (status: away, dnd, business trip...) and have the incoming calls redirected to the message saying the office is closed today.

I was able to have the phone set the status with a press on the key, but when I setup voicemail (for the one agent in CQ) for specific status, it is ignored. I guess CQ interprets the agent as not available and jumps to Ring Group. Any workaround?

Bye

OK, thanx. Any idea how do I dial *642 on my Grandstream GXP2170? I keep getting a "404 not found"
error.

That needs to be setup in dial codes first, Settings>Dial Codes > Force 3CX Phone System to IN or OUT of office

Check to see if you need to setup *64.

Settings - Dial Codes - 'Force 3CX Phone System to IN or OUT of office ' , enter *64

OK, great - thanx. Seems to be working. I would prefer the DND status to trigger some sort of interception, because DND is clearly visible on my Grandstream phone, without any fear of forgetting to press *642 at specific time next day. Is there any other workaround for my usecase?

When you put the phone into dnd, it logs the agent out of the queue only (calls do not follow the dnd setup of the extension)- so the routing of the calls will still follow the normal routing configured.
