old version activation

Hello, we have three perpetual licenses of 3CX v12. One of them lost its registration and the activation server it is not reachable.
What options do w have?

Upgrade for the love of God? V12 is older than my car lol and my car ain't new

Presumably you don’t have active maintenance. You can get a new license, of course, but if you don’t start over, you (as I seem to recall) will need to work with 3CX and/or your partner to upgrade through all the versions, to get to 20.

And then for reference you should stay reasonably current since 3CX updates its internal certificates at least once a year and old versions can no longer activate.

The other option is to simply stay with version 12 if it is working for you. I would do a clone of your harddrive every once in while to be on the safe side. Of course this is going to depend on how much longer you plan on using the systems as I have to assume that the OS is probably Windows 7 and vulnerable.
