On Auto Connection

Doing some setup an testing for a new customer from our office.

I have setup a new DO hosting for a new customer. Version 20.
Setup a new SBC in our office and is connected to the new customer.

I am trying to setup the phone extensions in advance so when we set them on their desk, they will be ready.

With no extensions currently programed, I plugged in a new T46U, I was expecting the phone to automatically show up in the phones tab of the 3CX pbx. But it does not. I was thinking it would show up as "NEW" and I could assign it to an extension. Does this not work anymore?

Or am I missing something?

Hi there.

It should work and you must ensure:
- that the IP phone is in the same local subnet as SBC
- go to the Phones >> PNP phones


Ensure that the phone is running the latest firmware and it is factory reset
You can also configure the phone in advance (after the SBC is up and running), so that once the phone will boot up, it will get a URL of the PBX from the RPS and then request the configuration file from the Phonesystem, and then it will automatically registed via the SBC. In the same place in options you will need to check and have the option for the RPS ON.

My bad. I did not know that the new phones were put in a new loacation. PNP phones. Version 18, they just showed up under phones a new.

I see it now.
