In the next two weeks, I'm packing up my entire server room and moving all servers to a new location. This will give me a new public IP address at the new location. The plan is to keep the same internal network structure so the local 3CX IP will stay the same.

What will happen as a result of the public IP address change? It seems to me that 3CX handles the DNS related to xx.xx.3cx.us domain. So is it just waiting for the DNS change to propagate across the Internet?

You can prepare already by now, by changing your Network settings to Dynamic IP. Then when you start up at the new location you will tell 3CX that you changed the IP, and if you are using an Enterprise license you only have to wait 5 min. for the DNS to be updated with your new IP (With a PRO license you have to wait up to 6 hours). When you are steady at the new location, you can change your network settings back to Static IP. And you do not have to do anything else to make this move.

That should be it.. Best of luck, with your move.

In addition to @jed advice, take also care on your SIP provider side if you have a security setting in your trunk based on your Public IP, if so you'll have to change the value with your new public IP
