We have a new client experiencing something very odd. Unfortunately this is affecting the director - all other users are fine!

We have deployed a system with 10 extensions, 9 of which display the correct CLI. However for one extension, call id 101, (which belongs to the director), the CLI is fine when calling ANY phone on the PSTN or to any other users on the system - except for one user (ext 107). When he calls that extension 107, his caller id shows as "Messagebank" which is a Telstra (carrier) service. The configuration for all the extensions and outbound caller id fields are exactly the same for all extensions. See the attached image, which is taken from user 107's mobile phone.

The 3cx version is 16.0.676

I'm really stumped here. Any help will be appreciated!

So an internal call from 101 to 107 shows that? There's only a couple possible options:

- 3CX Address book
- Local Address (3CX might read from the iOS/Android contacts)

I have to assume that it is a receiving device issue. That device may have the name stored against that number.

I was thinking the same thing ... something specific to the answering end point. Thanks for your ideas guys!

I looked up Telstra Messagebank...looks like you dial "101" to access. The owner of extension 107 has probably stored the number in their directory, and assigned the name "Messagebank" to it.

Yes i'm pretty sure that's what it is. You guys are amazing
