Open Contact URL using server side CRM Integration

Hi, I want this option to work in a similar way to the "Open Contact in Custom CRM" option here,

Which opens the URL in a new tab in the browser. Using "Open Contact URL using Server Side CRM Integration" sends a request to my CRM system but no new tab or window is opened. I thought a new tab would open showing the contact record from my CRM system, is this not expected behavior? If so, can something like that be configured so that a new tab/window is opened with my contact record details from my CRM system?

So the CRM returns the contact information in a JSON format as such,

There is a URL field that is output here. Is this what you mean by the CRM returning a URL?

You're using a custom CRM template, correct? Even if your CRM returns the data, you need to ensure that you're mapping this data to outputs, otherwise the returned record might be ignored. Can you share the XML of your contact lookup scenario, so we can tell you if you're doing it correctly?
