I am using VOIP.MS for my provider.
I have several trunks and several outbound rules.
Based on the outbound rule I want to pass the caller ID I have set in the rule.
Example:
| outbound number | Outbound Trunk | CID |
I dial 9 + 123 456-7890 Route 1-5 111 222-3333

The CID that is displayed on the called number is not the CID set in the rul;e field, but the actual trunk CID.

Suggestions on how to correct this?

Is it possible that the number is still set in Voip.ms? The CID number must also be in the "correct" format to be accepted by the provider.

This is set on the provider side: I use a system capable of passing its own CallerID

Just not sure if the default 3CX will pass what the provider is looking for.

I also use VoIP.ms and pass the caller ID of a forwarded incoming call, with no issues. If I send no caller ID, then the number that was/is associated with the VoIP.ms account is presented to the called number instead. There was also a place on the VoIP.ms website where I had to remove the caller ID number I had originally put in, before I could send anything else.

I send caller ID as a 10 digit number but suspect that they may also allow a leading 1.

Ieejoir. Thank you for the info.
I went to my sub accounts and changed the CallerID Number to " I use a system capable of passing its own CallerID"

Now the outbound rules are working for passing the CID Number I want to use.
Now all I have to figure out is how to select the CID Name to go along with the number.
