Hello everyone, I am wondering if there is a way to get outbound caller id working.
I have set-up the sip trunk from callcentric. After I have created all extensions from callcentric for each DID, I would forward the calls going to the 3cx.
I have 3cx being able to receive calls from callcentric DID's, but when I do an outbound call, the number that shows up for all extensions is the original trunk number from callcentric. When i populate the "Outbound Caller ID" in the extensions general settings field. I would not be able to call out and recieve a forbidden error on a yealink t23. After removing the "Outbound Caller ID" i am able to call out but the outgoing number is still the main trunk from callcentric. I have also tried creating outbound rules to no avail.

so in essence i am running the system such as

Callcentric DID extensions -> adding individually 3cx SIP Trunk -> From SIP Trunk to 3cx extensions.

It may be an outbound trunk setting, or, the provider is blocking calls because the caller ID you are sending does not meet with the new regulations that are being implemented to cut down on SPAM calling. To save time, you may wish to speak to the provider, as they will be able to tell you exactly what is happening, and possible fixes.

Callcentric does not clip no screening so you cannot use a number that is not associated with your account as outbound caller ID. So you need to send your main trunk number as the caller id for calls to work.
