Hello,

I'm trying to set up 3CX with out Twilio SIP in order to do some testing.
Inbound calling is working perfectly but whenever I test outbound calls via the 3CX app I get an automated message that outbound calls are forbidden by administrator.
I've searched high and low but cannot seem to find a setting that is causing this.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Did you configure outboud rules? You need at least 1 so 3CX knows what to do with the call. For testeing set calls to numers starting with prefix to 0-9 en select your trunk for route 1. That should do it for testing.

I've got the outbound rule configured as below:

Settings look OK to me. Make sure user that is calling out is member of "Superior Wellness". There is no other outbound rule for other departments.

Also check under "Advanced"the E164 settings. For our provider we neet to turn this on and set "Remove if same ..." both off

I've double checked the user and it's definitely part of that department (I only have the one configured). The Advanced E164 settings is also enabled. Where can I find the remove if same setting you refer to?

Under the E164 settings: 1779106944347.png

1, Disable Process E164 number completely
2. Twilio only accepts numbers formatted in E164 so +44XXXXXXXXX. Edit your outbound rule and add + to the prefix. 0-9,+
3. The error you are hearing is usually played when the extension has the option "Disable external calls" enabled. Check the extension settings.
