Outbound routing with 3CX!

Hello,

I have been trying to setup outbound routing with 3CX for 2 groups with 2 separate trunks that they need to use. This is the order of Outbound routes:

1. Group1, no prefix, calls from Trunk1, works
2. Group1, prefix 8, calls from Trunk2, works
3. Group2, no prefix, calls from Trunk1, works
4. Group2, prefix 9, calls from Trunk2, fails, 3CX constantly wants to use Trunk1 on this one.

I can't seem to figure out why this 4th rule would not work, it's a different group, different prefix and it clearly says that Trunk2 has to be used.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Thanks for getting back @aws2p, it works. So, no matter how many groups do I have, the prefix route has to be first in line for that group, right? What about if I add more trunks, how do I trigger them, providing that they are using prefixes as well? How do I order routes?

rules are read from top to bottom, and first rule who matches for a criteria stop there so in your case rule 4 was never used.

Thanks. So, let me just recapitulate. If I have many trunks to be assigned to a group using prefixes. The first in order are to come with prefixes and then the last one should be without it, does that make sense?

The more defined your outbound rule, the higher up the list it wants to be.

I would recommend to watch the webinar for advanced outbound routing.
The rules are processed in a top down fashion, so if it matches a previous rule BEFORE matching the one you wanted, then you need to make the rules more explicit or reorganize them.

As you add more trunks and user groups, your can make your rules specific to them but you will need to compensate accordingly.
