Hi,

I am using Broadvoice VOIP - Heres my problem:

1. Call in to the system, system answers
2, press 9, that goes to 8004
3, 8004 transfers to external number
4. When the system tries to make the transfer and fails. Says the number its busy (its not busy)
5, the log shows that there is no Outbound Rule for the dialed number. When I have a rule made.

Here is my log

Code:
02:28:28.984 [CM503016]: Call(15): Attempt to reach <sip:[email protected]:5060> failed. Reason: Busy
02:28:28.984 [CM303006]: There's no outbound rule for external number '18882299490' defined
02:28:28.984 [CM303006]: There's no outbound rule for external number '18882299490' defined
02:28:28.984 [CM503010]: Making route(s) to <sip:[email protected]:5060>

Any help that you guys can provide, I would like so much.

Hi Roy,

Welcome to the forum
Log says
02:28:28.984 [CM303006]: There's no outbound rule for external number '18882299490' defined

You must create an outbound rule to allow the call to be sent out of the PBX, it is not matching any at this point.

Thanks

How do I do that? I have an outbound rule setup

Thanks,
Roy

How do you dial outside numbers? 1888xxxxxxx or 91888xxxxxxx? If you normally dial a 9 first then make sure that the number has been entered in that way as the forwarded number. Also make sure that the extension is allowed to transfer to external numbers.

I prefer to just dial 1, (ac) then any number
How would I set the OutBound rule, and where is the option.

The outbound rule would be built in "Outbound Rules". Can you dial the toll free number from another extension, at this point, and have the call go through? Did you not originally create a rule for all 1+10 digit numbers?

If you include the areacode in all numbers then they aren't seven digits long are they? I would suggest rethinking the "Calls to numbers with a length of" field.

You do have more than one trunk to allow an outside incoming call to go back out, right?
