In 3CX version 20 we're experiencing an issue where the receiver of our calls always sees their own number as if someone is spoofing their own number to call them with.
This issue started to appear without any recent changes, we tried changing the 'From Display Name' under Called ID Control, but to no avail.

The logs do not indicate any errors and we already contacted our SIP provider, but they see no issues on their side.

Have you done a PCAP and checked this?

Who is your provider (Are they supported), and did you do any modifications to the provider template? Were you on version 18 previously, where caller ID worked correctly?

Thanks for asking, it worked fine until we updated to version 20.
We're using Edpnet which is not an officially supported provider so we used the default template and edited the settings following their own guides.

Looks like the PCAP is showing the from number correctly if the from field is displaying the number it should be, can you see traces on the SIP providers side? Might also be worth getting one from there too and seeing if the "from" fields are being altered

This PCAP is already from the SIP providers side.

So its getting to the provider with the correct from field, sounds to me like a provider issue

I've contacted our provider again and they state that something is wrong with the Remote-Party-ID which currently simply contains the name of who is calling.
Can this indeed be a problem and what might have to be there instead?

on the pbx go into the trunk settings and select options then caller ID control, under remote party ID change this to outbound caller id taken straight from extension settings. Then ensure you have the correct outbound caller ID in the user settings

The remote party ID was already configured this way, however, the outbound caller ID usually isn't set for specific users, but even when someone with their own Outbound Caller ID/DID number calls the issue remains.
