Has this changed in v20? There used to be an option where you chose where it rings to during office hours, and where it rings to outside of office hours?

I can't find how to change this, and tried to search, but unable to find how this is done now.

It did not bring over the settings during the upgrade

I did a backup, and had to restore, as the debian would not update.

Where is the incoming call routed? Are you using a Queue, IVR, RG?

Just from the SIP Trunk to the main receptionist, nothing of office hours works..

Just reading up on the departments in the new v20, we don't really have any. just office open or closed, and IVR should be triggered when the office is closed.

It's actually a Ring Group, when that ring group rings 5 times, then it goes into a (Digital Receptionist)

Doesn't everything have an extension?

Is there a way just to point it to this ring group after my office hours?

First of all you need to add the Office Hours to a Department. If you do not have Departments then you can only set the Office Hours for the Default Department. Then in the RG assign the Department and set the Out Of Office hours to route accordingly:

It wouldn't trigger, until i added the DID to it.

I changed the office hours to try and trigger the receptionist, but now it only triggers the Office Closed Ring Group.

Seems to be bypassing the SIP Trunk, direct to receptionist

Where is the DID assigned?

Call Handling, for the Ring Group. If i didn't assign it, it wouldn't pick up the call to the ring group, but now it just seems to override everything and take all calls

Still unable to trigger the night Ring Group, without adding the DID of the main trunk number.

Am i doing this wrong? Am i not supposed to Assign where it routes to from the SIP Trunk?

Just want to have a simple During Office Ring Group, and a Night Time Ring Group.

The ring group gets the office hours of the department. DIDs are now attached to something, as opposed to inbound rules.

Ok thanks, figured it out.

Everything in call handling superseeds where the SIP Trunk routes to.

Yeah basically. So for example if number routes to a DR, that DR has to have new "office closed" or "holiday" routing added. Otherwise it defaults to "ignore office hours" after upgrade.

Glad to know this is resolved. ;)
