Solved Own FQDN

I'd like to use my own FQDN to access the server. I have an ICE server, static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, DNS setup, reverse proxies for TLS and so on; I don't need to route traffic somewhere else for any reason but the setup wouldn't let me to skip 3CX's FQDNs or use my own — despite it still asked me for it.

How do I disable that?

If you're using Hosted by 3CX, you can only have a 3CX FQDN. You need to host on-prem or in your own cloud provider to be able to set up your own FQDN.

Just know that ICE, reverse proxies and such are not really supported. The 3CX must be able to reach Internet and be reached from Internet. The firewall checker will tell you if everything works correctly.

Now, to proceed after this you must use either Marketplace or install the pbx on premise as via your portal this is not possible.

Hi, thanks for answering. I'm hosting it myself. It's actually accessible using my own FQDN over the reverse proxy but I can't set that in the settings thus (I assume) remote endpoints would get provisioned with the 3CX FQDN and not my own – I read that in the documentation but there's nothing about using your own FQDN.

Is that correct?

@enrikalabergga expand the Core PBX Features and you will see “custom FQDN”, click on the + .
This must be done during installation of the pbx where you will upload your certificate on the installer.
Then all will be setup with your own FQDN.

I see, then I guess I'm out. My current PBX has every feature 3CX has without limitations or rentals and it was about what a single year of those licenses cost (and the lowest call count), a little more, but that was it.

I was just trying to make a really old Cisco phone work, but it's not justifiable.

Oh well, I'll just give away that phone. Thanks anyway!
