As you can imagine our customers' schedules are extremely unpredictable right now. One moment they are in office , out for this hour, need calls forwarded here and then there after such and such time, etc. The 3CX scheduling system is so rudimentary that I'm constantly having to change schedules manually.

Having a only single system-wide day/night/holiday schedule is a major headache. Especially when dealing with a system that has various offices with different schedules. I'm well aware that you can customize for each inbound rule but what about scenarios where half the inbound rules follow one schedule and the other half follow another? Holidays are a lot less useful in this case as well.

A much better system would include schedule profiles, each with a unique set of holidays, that can be applied to different resources dynamically. I've made this feature request before and will again. Hopefully this brings some attention to it.

I'm not making excuses for 3CX, but as you know, or suspect, features are usually developed with about 90 percent (or a vast majority) of your clients needs in mind. Biggest bang for your buck. To spend time and energy on 10 percent (or ;less) of your current base, let alone future users, probably isn't worthwhile, unless you have people sitting around with nothing else to do.

However, as we have seen in the past, things evolve. What was a very rudimentary feature five years ago, is now maturing, but, in many cases, because of demand.

Obviously these are not normal times, and what worked three weeks ago, may not now fill-the-bill. Will the 3CX scheduling system improve...probably, but not next week.

If you need a highly customizable holiday schedule, you can build whatever you need with a Call Flow Designer (CFD) application. It may not be a trivial exercise, but with some effort, it could be done.
