Parked call is not picked up...

What happens when a parked call is not picked up?
Shouldn't the call (after a certain time) go back to the extension that parked it? Does it work? In my case not (see attachment)

In addition to that, how come that external parked calls don't show on the 'switchboard' like the internal parked calls?

I have had to "tickle" the setting.. in short, change it to something else and change it back.
