Hello,

I changed my password recently on my 3cx user interface.
Now, I can not enter in this interface to manage the phone system because my password doesn't work.
Please, I ask to the 3CX team to give me quickly an answer to my problem without lost all the parameters and communications.
Contact me on my email address or this forum.
I thank you a lot.
Best regards.

(Paris in France)

Configuration of the system :
Server with Windows Server 2008 R2 Foundation SP1
3CX Phone System Edition 3CXPSMINI Version 12 SP3

If you have a backup (hopefully) of your 3CX installation (Zip file), unzip it and view the file as a text document. The password is in there in plain English. Doing a search for the word "password" should take you to it.

I'm assuming that version 12, in this regard, is the same as previous versions.

Hy Leejor,

Thank's for answer. Like you said me, I have immediately done a backup with the "Phone System Backup and restore Tool".
I have look the different "xml files".
In the root of the backup zip, I found a file named "113854051Db.xml".
Inside, I have found the different password of phones and the phone's line, but nothing for the connect password!
Could you said to me if my search is correct or not?
Have you a another suggestion?
thanks' to you.
Best regards.

Hi Leejor and Davidbenwell,

A BIG GREAT THANK TO YOU TWO.

Your answer is correct and works well. I advise all those who have this problem go to the link given by davidbenwell.

Your quick response saved me from a very bad night (in France it is 8 pm) and a big problem with my boss!!!

I hope one day, I troubleshoot you from a problem with 3cx phone.

Thank you again and

Best regards to you.

Your Welcome :D

I know that this has come up a number of times, sorry I didn't recall that the search term was webserverpass rather than password. I think that I have only had to go over a backup once before during a corruption problem.

It just shows that you should always make, and have access to a backup of your system, no mater how new the set-up is.

Hello Leejor,

It's not a problem. You 're very kind to give me the beginning of the solution.
You 're right when you say, it's very important to have a fresh backup of our 3cx system. Otherwise, we are able to lose everything in very shortly.
Good luck and thanks' to you.

Best regards.
