Hi, I have a simple question about the native Windows softphone: Is there any way to paste a number into the softphone to send as DTMF when I'm in a call?
I often need to send account numbers, etc, to IVR systems in calls and it is much easier for me to copy/paste them from my electronic notes/records rather than retype them digit-by-digit.
I tried to do it but I didnt see any obvious way.
I can do this in Skype, Lync, Teams and many other softphones so I expect it should be available in the 3CX softphone... what am I missing?
thanks

Regarding your question, please note that DTMF needs to be dialed from the 3CX apps or Webclients for them to be passed out.

Hi Charles, thank you for the fast reply. Just to be sure that I understood correctly, it means there is no way to paste/send DTMF digits with any of the clients, correct? Or one of the other clients can do it?

This is correct it is not possible.

That's a pity, you should definitely consider adding this functionality. thanks anyway.

You may check how DTMF works as it depends on a dial tone.

Thanks for the reply TheodorosG, but I'm not really sure how it is relevant... the question here is only about the ability to paste a string into the softphone client rather than needing to manually dial digit by digit to send the DTMF signals. It's purely a UI question.

Understood but currently this is not possible.
