Patton FAX 2 port through SBC

I did not think that 3CX would allow the use of a fax extension outside the local LAN (including SBC) unless using VPN, in which case the PBX would be unaware that it is not local.

There are lots of non supported scenario's that work with the SBC.
For example, we use Cisco ATA's to connect to fax extensions using the SBC.
Also we are using SBC to connect other limited supported phones such has Polycom VVX series.

I know that many things do work even though they are not "officially" supported, it's easier to say "that's not supported", rather than spending (what could be) a lot of time trying to get it working". I had not attempted a 3CX Fax extension through an SBC myself, and everything I had been reading (others experience) suggested that it would not work (in that you could not even create the extension, unless local), over an SBC, let alone STUN.

This is a supported scenario.

If you are using a DSL filter, then that infers that any analogue device behind the filter is using the phone line (back to a providers line equipment in a centra office), that also provides the ADSL signal, not a 3CX extension
