Tesco mobile, phone is a Moto C.

With regular numbers I get a choice of a regular call or 3CX.

With the shorter "numbers" used for phone management I only get the option to use 3CX. I don't believe the problem is unique to PAYG as even the voicemail-on number is affected.

Hi Oliver,

Can you provide a more detailed description? For example, when do choices appear, when clicking on a number in a website or SMS message?

Normally, if you open the Android dialler (the default phone icon that comes with your device from the factory) it should not ask you what service to use, it should just dial it as a GSM call.

I think I might have more idea what's happened. This only happens with directory entries not dialled calls, and for each of the management numbers there are now two entries. One has a "sim card" icon by it and appears to be correct.
The other doesn't have the card symbol and when I edit it at the top it says "Linked contact".

I get the impression that when I installed 3CX the SIM card entries may have been "imported", either automatically or through a bad choice on my part.

I'm going to try deleting the "linked contact" entries since they appear to be duplicates anyway.

Update: the "Linked contact" entries can't be deleted as they are "Read Only".
I tried looking them up in the phone's 3CX client and they are in the 3CX directory there too, but I don't seem to be able to delete entries from there?

I can't find them in the central directory using weblient.

Update: I uninstalled the App, reinstalled and reprovisioned. No wierd entries so we're good now.

No, you cannot delete 3CX Company Contacts from within the app those are managed by the PBX

The 3CX Company Contacts that appear inside the app, are not published outside of the app (so the Android OS should not really be able to see them).

Generally speaking, your Android can have contacts synced from multiple sources and they could be duplicated. ie. I can have my Office 365 contacts synced into my Android from my O365 email, I can have the same ones populating the 3CX system and I can have the same ones again saved as Android contacts so it can get a bit complicated without knowing what is setup on that phone.

It would really help if you can provide some screenshots with a description

Sorry, the whole problem seems to have gone away after reinstalling the app.

What's a good way to get a screenshot of the phone?

Update: the problem came back, so as a work-around when the app asked to access my contacts I selected deny (several times, followed by "do not ask again") and this appeared to prevent it.

This is acceptable to me as the contacts in the regular directory are personal and the ones in 3CX are business but it is not a solution.

I'm guessing that another work-around might be to copy the numbers from the SIM to the phone. Who uses the SIM directory nowadays...

If you wish to investigate as a possible bug please try storing some numbers on the SIM rather than the phone and see what happens.
