I have a client system with two SIP trunks—one main and one backup—with about ten DID numbers. Each DID belongs to a different store, and the client wants the store’s specific name to appear along with the phone number on outbound calls.
Currently, the phone number displays correctly, but we are unable to show the corresponding store name.
On the DID provider’s side, we cannot force a caller name because the CNAM must come from the PBX. I tested the “CallerName” function (caller’s name, default: From → display name), and it works well for the store extensions. However, we also have individual users with personal extensions whose names we don’t want to reveal. Because of this, we can’t apply the CallerName function globally.
Any suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
