Hi,

We have an issue where the paging system with out physical phones doesn't work for a user if his 3CX client is set to "Softphone" mode and it has to be set to Desktop (CTI) mode. Unfortunately the Windows client seems to randomly set itself back to Softphone mode...

There is nothing in the settings to disable softphone mode or to set Desktop (CTI) as default. I am looking through the XML file located at:

%appdata%\3CXPhone for Windows\3cxphone.xml

But cannot find anything that sounds like it would do that, does anyone who knows this XML file a little better have an idea on how to set it to always be in Desktop (CTI) mode?

Hello @Steve Medley

You could set the default behaviour of the client to CTI. To do so please navigate to Extensions in the management console and edit the desired extension. Then navigate to the Phone Provisioning tab and select the 3CX client from the drop down menu.
Scroll down to Preferences and select IP phone in the call control.

Thank you, will this push out to the Windows Client automatically? Do I need to have them restart it or do I need to send the welcome email again?

Once the change is applied the next time the 3CX client starts the change will apply.
