Permission to access recordings

Is there a way to allow the a Department Administrator, Supervisor, or Manager to access recordings? Currently the only profile that has access is the system owner. I need to grant access to department heads.

If this is not an option I there a way to send the recording to an external email? I have investigated the option of using 3CX call flow designer to make that happen but have not been able to make that work. It does not seem to work with Version 20.0 Update 7 (Build 1057 Beta), Enterprise Version, I'm self hosting in AWS, using their server builder.

Jerry, the ext with Manager, Owner or Supervisor role, edit it and enable the field that says Show Call Recordings, in that way he will have access to the department recordings via the 3cx applications.

I really need to invest more time to understand how you can configure 3CX to provide restricted access to recordings. I do not believe there are a lot of options, but I'm sure others can provide more 3CX guidance than I. However, what I can do, is show you how easily we can restrict access to recordings without the need to access the 3CX console at all. I encourage you to take a look at our 3CX Recording Manager.


Take a look at the image above. Here are the straightforward steps:

1. Select the desired 3CX department
2. Select the extensions you want to give manager rights
   
   If you need to grant manager rights to people who are not members of the selected department
   
   
3. Choose the non-department users check box.
   
   You can further restrict what a Manager (or any other 3CX role) can do when working with recordings
   
   
4. Select the 3CX Manager role
5. Grant the specific permissions they need

Note: I encourage you to take a very close look at the specific permissions -- that will give you a hint about some of the other things (AI features) we can do in 3CX Recording Manager besides just manage recordings

Here is what it looks like when you access a recording:


You can see right away that Samuel (the logged in user) is a manager because he can see recordings made by the people he manages. You can see both an AI score and human score, the transcription, action items, notes, key points, agent scoring, and much more.

Using the API, or something like Power BI, you can do pretty much anything like this. We do this with call recordings and call transcription/sentiment, they get back linked into our CRM and an OpenAI summary is generated.
