Phone notification for another voicemail box

Hi,

I have yealink phones and when I receive a voicemail for my extension, the phone gives a notification that I have a voicemail. I've added a speed dial to monitor the voicemail of another extension. Is there any way to setup the phone to receive a notification when a voicemail is on the other mailbox? Similar to a BLF light maybe?

No, thats not possible.

While not supported, it is possible to have multiple manual accounts configured on your phone. Doing so means that the MWI will light up when a new voicemail is saved in either account (voicemail box). But simply creating a BLF and pointing it to another voicemail box is probably not possible without custom development. It would probably require creating a web service that checks the status of the voicemail box and the phone would have to reference that webservice in the BLF configuration on the phone. All unsupported stuff and probably a fair amount of work.

The good news is that we can solve this problem with our 3CX Voicemail Manager tool. We can monitor a voicemail box and turn on the MWI for everyone in the group, and if anyone in the group listens to the voicemail, we can turn off the MWI for everyone else in the group. That is just one of many features, and watch for some awesome OpenAI features coming soon.
