Good Morning,

I am have been using using 3CX with a number of Cisco 509g VoIP phones. I started on 3CX v10 and am now running v15 so you can see I am not new to 3cx.

I upgraded to v15 just over a year ago and at the time I made several customisations to the cisco provisioning template and then some specific amendments to certain individual phones as per user requests.
This was all very straight forward and I haven't had any issues.
I have now started to add a number of other cisco 509g's to the existing phone network and have run into a problem.
When i go into each of the new phones in the 3cx web browser i am able to make changes via the various menu options but I also need to make some specific changes to the individual phones provisioning template. Now I already know that there isn't a unique template for each phone, as was to case in older versions of 3cx but I also know that you can edit the individual phones settings and ultimately click on the "config" button which allows you to modify the generated template for that specific phone.
Unfortunately now when I click on config, i can view the contents of the template but I can't make or save any changes made.
I know that this used to work as this was how I altered the specific phones templates when I first setup v15 but for some reason, a year down the line this has stopped working.

Could this be a licensing problem?

Any helps or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

Simon

Hello @simonhc

Please note that you can view the configuration of each phone through the phones tab but you cannot make any changes from there. You will need to create a custom template with the method @Saqqara mentioned.
And as you may already know custom templates are not supported by 3CX so you will need to revert back to default templates if an issue appears.
