Everytime I restore a backup to a new phone server, I cant call out or call in. I do a complete restore from the backup that is functioning. HELP!

Hi there.
So it's a trunk-related issue only? Are you able to call internally between the users?
Can you see if the trunk is registered (if it's a register base trunk)? Are you using a supported SIP trunk?

Ok got it figured out finally I compared the ip address from my old server to my new one, cmexternal was pointing to the dhcp ip address when I configured the server. I changed that to the static given to the phone server within our network everything functions.

Does it mean it's all working now?

Yes I bothered to never check the parameters. I dont know why I didnt bother to before I posted the question

calling out is showing silence but the calling in is working.

No worries, it happens to everyone, sometimes the issue can be even more simple than we think.

For the audio silence, also check if you had a specific IP set in the trunk settings (Options tab) ,ensure you update to the correct one in case the IP changed

I am going to do a complete restore after hours for the phone server by unplugging the old phone server. I think that will probably be the best solution.

Perfect, let us know how it goes.

Still complete silence and when I try to dial in all I get is a busy signal. In the receptionist panel. I can see the outbound call but the inbound doesnt even show. Its not hitting the number for some reason.

Ok riddle me this. I switched my network cards around and the system works. It is a desktop pc that is strong enough for 3cx. One is an external card capable of gigabite, the other is just the standard input. So confused.

Do you have the same issue when calling internally between the extensions?

Did you contact your provider to see what they have to say?

My guess, based on this, is that the RTP stream in coming on the wrong NIC. 3CX usually says the PBX should only have a single NIC.

So where is the rtp set at? I have gone through the drivers to check the settings.

3CX itself just uses the networking of the host OS.

Try this:
Disable 1 of the NICs and reboot the box. See if everything works.

Is this Windows or Linux? What version of the PBX?

Its windows 11 and latest version of 18.

Did you try the advice from @SweetAction ?
Is that the case where your OS have multiple Networking cards?
Also, did you try to ensure and pass the firewall check test?
