Phonebook for each department - when?

I saw on the V20 roadmap back in September 2023 that each department would be able to have it's own phonebook, separate from the company phonebook?

Has there been any update on this or workaround in the mean time to enable this feature? Or are they too busy adding Ai rather than basic features other PBXs have?

I hope we hear more news about this before it's our renewal time. Our director was already unhappy with the recent updates, let alone still missing promised features in the core PBX.

Are there any workarounds in the meantime?

The only right workaround is to use a CRM instead of the 3CX phonebook. Which should always be the case anyway.
