Phones not updating automatically when changing BLF settings

We noticed that when we configure BLF settings on a phone the changes never get pushed out to the phone and eventually we have to manually reboot the phone for the changes to take effect. Eventually will these changes get pushed out or does the phone always have to be rebooted?

Yup for BLF changes and any phone changes for that matter, you have to either reprovision or reboot the phone for it to pull the new config.

If you leave them blank you can change them in the phone and they shouldn't over right but I wouldn't do that.

The phones should auto provision every 24 hours on their own and accommodate any changes made to their configuration.
