Just started getting the below error after a reboot.

Provisioning file /provisioning/sxnczm9i82/F0V%20Pro00000.cfg requested by 10.9.0.250 could not be generated

Its now logging the error for nearly every phone.

Anyone seen this before?

Thanks

Hello,

What phones are we talking about?

Give an example model along with it's firmware version please.

Apologies, they are Fanvil X3s Pro's all have the 2.4.7.5 3CX FW

Thanks

I think the answer you are looking for is the same as this thread here.

If you phones provision and work fine, you can ignore that specific warning.

Hi John

That's the issue mine won't, I've update my password to test existing phones and it now wont provision either.

Thanks

Hi,

Let's get some more info on this then:

- What version is your 3CX system?
- What OS is it running on?
- How many NICs does it currently have?
- Is it a Local / Cloud machine?
- How are the phones connecting to it? (LAN / VLANs / VPN / Remote SBC / Remote STUN)

Sorry i thought you get that through the backend:

V18 U6 B889
Debian 10
1 NIC
On Prem (VM)
128 out of 147 (all on separate vlan)
has been running fine until now.

Ah no, we do not :p

We need all the details you can share to get an idea of what goes on.

Now you say the phones fail to provision, here's a couple of things to check:

1. Make sure you haven't got any blacklisted IP entries in your management console. This blocks provisioning.

2. Check whether you have DHCP Option 66 or equivalent on your network. It can throw things off if misconfigured. Turn it off during troubleshooting via your DHCP server.

3. VLANs can also cause serious problems in case something changes you are not aware of, or a slight misconfiguration. But since you use them they should also be considered suspect during troubleshooting at least. I might not be able to help on this specific subject other than provide very general advice.

4. Try from scratch: delete a single phone from an extension and then factory reset it. Make sure the bold entry is "Rejected" from the Phones page, to see if a fresh one will appear after the phone starts up. Select it and click "Add Ext." to create a new extension. See whether this one phone comes up ok and depending on how it goes, we can see where we go from there.

Hi John

All done, but still nothing. the system was working fine. I replaced over 15 phones last week from Sangoma to Fanvils all without issue, just tried 2 more and they wont provision.

The only thing i haven't done is a reboot BUT would prefer someone logon and check the backend before i do that.

Thanks

I will PM you for something specific we can look at.

As discussed via PM, the issue turned out to be that there were special characters in the extension names like the & character for example.

This is a known limitation of Fanvil, so anyone reading this in the future should check the extension name just in case.
