Hi ,
I have just bought a Plantronics Savi w730. Installed it according to the documentation and everything works fine. But I am unable to use the answer button to answer incoming calls. It works fine, when I am making a call. Press the button and you hear the tones when you click the Numbers in the Dial Pad of Soft Phone.
But for incoming calls, as a call comes in the headset is activated and I hear the ring but on pressing the answer button on the headset it simple closes the link between the Base and PC. And does not answer the call. On pressing the button again, the Link gets activated again but still I can only hear the incoming call ringing but cannot answer the call.
Any Help is much appreciated. Many thanks in advance

What version of 3CX Phone are you using? I see the 740 series is supported in version 12, but not the 730 series. Not certain if that has changed in the last year.

Thanks for you reply Leejor. Just wondering the information on this page http://www.3cx.com/support/plantronics-configuration/ says its compatible with Savi 7xx . So, I was under the impression that 730 would be working as well. And the same is written on Plantronics Website as well. This is the Compatibility PDF http://www.plantronics.com/uk/media/downloads/SoftphoneCompatibility.pdf and 3CX phone is listed on Page 24.

Do you have an experience in using any Headsets with Success with 3CX softphone. We are using the 700 series for being wireless and long range(100 meters).

Your help is much appreciated.
Kind Regards

Hi Guys,
Just an update... As Leejor said I ordered the w740 and now they are working just fine. But it is a sort of miscommunication in from 3CX and Plantronics as well, to say that the w700 series is compatible.

Many Thanks

They may have only had some models to do testing with and someone made "too broad" a statement as to compatibility. Obviously, that should be corrected.
