Solved Play Recorded Message: only able to do that via SIP-Phone?

In the list if recorded messages, I can: download, play using phone, or call.
When I press play, I would expect to hear the recording using the currenlty selected phone: 3cx Webclient. However the Server calls a real phone.
i have no option to listen to a recorded call using the web interface. The only workaround would be to download the recording then open using vlc or similar, but this is rather tedious compared to the playback using phone.
How is the function playback using phone meant to work?

Hi,

When you press the play button, you should receive a call on your Webclient extension that plays that message.

Notice that I have Webclient selected (next to my Q button) and this is running on a V16.0.5.619 system.




What version of the 3CX PBX are you currently using?

Problem most likely solved: The call will also go to the hardware phone, therefore I assumed his will not work wit the softphone

Exactly, because both of those are valid and registered extensions: your deskphone and your webclient.

So they all ring simultaneously when you receive the PlayFile call, and you can just pick up from whichever is most convenient to you.
