We are getting poor audio quality on Digital Receptionist playback, it's very tinny and crackly.

Recording was done on seperate pc, saved as .WAV, PCM Uncompressed, 8000Hz 16 Bit Mono. The file plays perfectly on a number of pc's but when connected via the 3CX its really bad.

The 3CX machine is a standalone Vista PC with 4GB of RAM and nothing other than 3CX running, we are using IIS. Any ideas how to improve the playback quality?

Gary.

How do voicemails sound? If they sound bad too then you have a system related issue. If voicemails sound good then you have an issue with your sound file. To help improve audio quality on the sound files, you should first run a Compression filter (voice weighted if you have the option), then normalize to 0db, then save it out.
