We recently upgraded our 3cx instance from v15 to v16 recently. Unknown to me, our DBAs had PostgreSQL process running that would extract call history and other data for historical purposes. Since the upgrade to v16 it had broke this process due to a parameter change, in the config files mentioned, to only allow local host to listen on port 5048. Now, the DBAs had gone into our 3cx server and changed the parameters of the pg_hba.conf & postgresql.conf (C:\Program Files\3CX Phone System\Data\DB).

Should we manually revert the changes of the config file or is there a better solution?

I would strongly advice to not attach any process to the DB nor altering the HBA confs of the DB.
You can use other means, such are the scheduled call reports or socket connections to read live the calll data in an 3rd party system.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately changes were already made to the configs and our PBX was having issues. Logs showing PostgreSQL errors. Now I had the DBAs stop the SQL process which looks to have stabilized the system, however, should we manually revert the changes of the config or is there some other way to remedy this if config was already changed?
