Prerecorded voicemail prompt

A customer wants to use a prerecorded (by an actor) voicemail prompt. Is it possible to upload a file to use for a voicemail prompt?

You cannot "upload" one as you can do with the digital assistant and other files, however you can go onto the PBX server and put the wav file in the folder for the extension.

Make sure your recording is in the correct format - the same as required for the digital assistant wav files.

I found the folder - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\3CX\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Data\xxx where xxx is the extension number.

Different folder location in Server 2008 (C:\ProgramData\3CX\Data\Ivr\Voicemail\Data\xxx) but works perfectly.

That is just the difference between v1 windows profiles and the new v2 profiles. Most will now be on the new v2

Windows Vista onwards and Windows Server 2008 onwards use the v2 profiles. All new Microsoft OS' will also use new v2 profiles.
