Presence on Yealink Expansion Modules

Hi 3CX Team,

We have a query from an existing client to enable 3CX presence visibility on Yealink Expansion Modules.

Currently the Yealink Expansion Module only presents presence if on a call etc. and does not show presence based on the 3CX presence selection.

Is it possible to have this functionality between 3CX and Yealink Expansion Modules?

What model of expansion module are you using? What model is it connected to?

What version of the PBX are you running?

We have a EXP43 Expansion Module on a Yealink T46U Handset.

This is the 8 Channel Pro License

Is your PBX running v16 or v18? Once I know more, I'll take a look and replicate the setup.

When you say presence, do you mean call state (green, flashing red and solid red)? The expansion modules don't show 3CX presence, but rather call state.

Correct, if my Presence on 3cx is set to an away/busy state, the Yealink Expansion should indicate a red light - not available.

Otherwise if a user is on a 3cx conference call on the web application the switchboard operator would have no visibility on the busy state and would put calls through when a person is not actually available.

I'm afraid that this is not possible at present. It isn't supported and there aren't any plans currently to add this functionality.

This has been proposed in the Ideas section before, such as https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...dnd-status-with-blfs.43023/page-4#post-358213, you can feel free to +1 the Idea in the original poster's post. Each year 3CX tries to implement the ideas most in demand.
