Presence over a bridge(WAN) from 12.5 to 15 does not work. users on 12.5 cannot see users on the 15 system. Pretty disappointing for someone with 14 locations and over 1000 users.

Bridges between different PBX versions were never tested and we cannot guarantee the full functionality between them. I would recommend upgrading the 12.5 to v15 to have the full functionality between the bridges.
Having said that make sure that you are using the correct presence ports on both sides. Also if you connecting them with using the FQDN's try using the Public IP to avoid any DNS issues.
