Greetings all.
Version 20.0 Update 7 Self hosted with AWS.
We are based in NZ and using an answer service in Australia when we miss a call.
The issue we have is that when the call is answered in Australia is is using our CLID and not the clients.
I would expect this to be normal behavour as the call is answerd by the phone system then call Answer Services by using another trunk.

However,
My boss has been on Chat GPT and it says that the CLID can be preserved

I can see nowhere that we can redirect a call rather than forward it, I have already said to him that it would have to be done at the SIP level for this to happen.
To make matters worse we have incoming calls from three SIP providers and outgoing is on two SIP Providers, whichever is the cheapest for that route.
I dont think this can be done but I am looking for others input.
Thanks
John

You can recommend to them to use 3CX themselves, if they do not already, which opens the option of using simple bridging.

Also perhaps you could arrange for a site-to-site SIP Trunk with your answering service, not via any general SIP Trunk provider, whereby you can define exactly what goes through.

Sending the original callers number would require two things. First, that your settings are actually sending the original callers number (the 3CX Activity Logs should show this), if you have access. Secondly, your outgoing provider must allow this (CLIP No Screening). Many do not, because of call spoofing concerns.

There may also be options that require changing, with your provider.

One of our trunks is a 3CX supported provider. The other two are not approved.
The one that our company receives calls from is approved.
The one that our company purchased is not and is used for incoming calls only.
The third one we have is for outbound calls depending on location as it is cheaper.
I have changed the Outbound to Australia to the approved provider.
I will recommend to the boss that we port the number for the other company to the new provider.
John

Our 3CX certified trunk does not support Clip No Screening, I am asking if our non certified trunk does as it is not listed on their website.
