I'm having an issue, where a customer calls into the PBX with a blocked callerID, when the PBX tries to 'also ring mobile' for an extension, it shows error: "Call or Registration to 780***@([email protected]) has failed. 162...* replied: 503 Service Unavailable; from IP:162.*..:5060 " (IP Hidden for security purposes).

I reached out the VOIP.MS, to which they indicated it is likely an issue with the PBX.

The calls are showing a caller ID of 'anonymous" which are obviously getting rejected by voip.ms which they don't seem to want to take responsibliity for.

If I change the parameter Remote Party ID - Calling Party : User Part to a custom field and put whatever in it, then the calls go through to mobiles. The problem with that is EVERY call forwarded to mobile comes up as 'Private Number' instead of passing through the caller ID.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Perhaps you can elaborate on what exactly you are looking for? It seems you've already isolated the issue to VOIP.MS and need to press them on the issue.

My apologies for being unclear...

Is there a way to change callerID based on something like an IF statement, so that I can still pass thru known callerIDs, and when anonymous I can put something else in?

or b) is there a way to change the callerID when presented as anonymous to something else, like private caller?

Thanks, I thought about this too but am not overly familiar with the CID Reformatting. The link you sent isn't clear, or maybe I'm overthinking it with the variables, could I just setup a reformating for outbound, and have the source pattern as "anonymous" and set the replace pattern to our phone number or something?

Yes you can do that.

SOLVED! Thanks, I did exactly that and it did as it should. After I changed a few of the outbound SIP Parameters I may have accidentally changed int eh process, thanks a bunch!
