Problem in connecting extension via vpn

Hello

I have a problem with my extension in that when I try to ring either voice mail, an internal extension of voip provider I get a ringing tone but no audio when the call is answered.

configuration is

3cx phone system on a Windows 2003 SBS server on 192.168.0.10

extension (either Grandstream 2000 or x-lite) on 192.168.24.6

vpn link via Netgear 834 router.


One thing I note is that the media server seems to be bound to the public IP address of the router that is local to it. Surely it should bind to the private address 192.168.0.10? I do not know where it's getting this public Ip address?

I have enable and disabled the "extension is external", "bind to media server" and "supports re-invite" and the problem still occurs.

3cx Version

The version I am using is "3CX Phone System v3.1.2434.0"

VPN is not supported yet.

It is, I register my X-Lite through VPN and use services of 3cx Phone system

Hi rickburt,

It seems you activated stun at your "Grandstream 2000 or x-lite". For all SIP clients under VPN connected to 3CX BOX or any IPPBX need not activate the STUN. Please check both of them if found enable of stun, try disable it.
