Hello,

Recently our organisation has upgraded to a 3cx platform. There is still some small things but they are slowly being worked out.

The one thing we can not seem to solve is that our frontdesk is accepting calls, they then forward the call to a employee. If the employee does not want the call or voicemail etc. The frontdesk wants to take the call back. They do this by pressing the "line" BLF Button which is in use. This works alot of times however sometimes it disconnects the line and the call is lost. Does anyone know how this happens? Or maybe a workaround so we do not lose calls.

Our Reseller also does not seem able to solve this.

We are using a Yealink T46S phone
3cx version 15.5.0

Thanks in advance!

Without tracing this finding out what is going on is going to be a challenge. Is it an actual issue or user error (if intermittent) or end destination accide

A couple of things you can use is firstly the rebound method on transfer (see the PBX settings under "settings in" the PBX ) this will ensure if a call does get lost. Set "Transfer Back on Busy".

The other thought I had was perhaps use Shared Parking Bays instead - this way you can park a call in a bay (using the BLF to tell there is a parked call) call the user the call is for and have them then pickup.

I use this method where I work and we never lose calls by doing this.

thank you for the response, I will look into shared parking bays this week to see if that could solve our issue. Will let you know when we have testen
