Hi
I have a Fanvil X3S, it supports 2 sip lines.
So I want to use Line 1 for Extension 100 and Line 2 for Extension 101. How can I achieve this?
Is it only possible via HTTP provisioning? That would mean it must be behind an SBC.?

You would have to edit the provisioning template.

https://www.3cx.com/docs/custom-ip-phone-templates/

...or manually provision, if possible.
I appreciate your response.
Perhaps I don't need to configure the second line on the phone to accomplish my goal.
I need to do the following:
I have two numbers on a single SIP trunk.
My goal is to have both numbers ring on one phone. The user should be able to tell which line the call is coming from. Maybe a specific ring.
I would like the user to be able to make calls using Caller ID 1 or Caller ID 2.

Is it possible to achieve the above with the default provisioning template?

(There are actually several numbers on that SIP trunk, but I will say two to simplify things.)

Lastly, do you know if anyone has created a two-line template for Fanvil and if it has been shared?

If you are using DIDs , then you can display a short name, taken from the DID rule, to identify which DID has been dialed.

You can force a different outbound caller ID by using a different outbound prefix. If you normally use 9 for outside calls, and then use a rule with no caller ID specified, then (provider allowing), that call will use the outbound caller ID set against the extension. If you create a second rule, using 8, as the prefix, then that rule can specify a different caller ID, overriding the one set in the extension.

Since I don't see it mentioned anywhere I do have to make it clear that using a custom template means you automatically lose 3CX Support for that device or any call scenarios involving it as we cannot guarantee normal functionality.

The methods mentioned by @leejor above would be the way to go to get the behavior you're looking for and also keep the 3CX instance a 3CX supported configuration.
