Solved Provisioning multiple Phones with same config

Hello,

we are running on v18 hosted by 3CX.
Is there any way, to provision a bulk of identical phones with the same settings, without the need to setup every phone manually ? This is important especially in regads to the BLF buttons configuration.

I read something about custom templates, but to be honest, I did not find anywhere in the system management console an option to copy or edit any template.

Any hint into the right direction is much appreciated

Hi Daniel,

What did you have in mind exactly?

Once you provision all your phones, it's easy to multi-edit the extensions and add the BLFs all in one go.

Then you select all the registered devices under "Phones" and click reprovision.

The result is that they should all get the exact same BLFs

Hi John,

we have in total 5 people, with the need of calling the same contacts. We are using Poly VVX 601+extension modules. Rather than configuring all of them one by one, I am looking for a way, to configure all of them the same way.

And I agree with you on the multi edit, but after I have done that, and I want to add an additional extension, I have to reenter the whole config.

Hi Daniel,

That should work for the first 5.

For new extensions you can use our Extension Copy function, and simply tick the BLF box to copy the BLFs from another existing extension:



Then once this is done, you can go ahead and auto-provision the next VVX601 to it.
