Hi,

I am currently using 3CX Version 18. I am having QR code regenerate issues.

I selected the extension whose QR codes were to be changed. And pressed the "Regenerate" button.
I selected "Regenerate provisioning file & QR code for 3CX Apps" as shown below and proceed with the regeneration.

The expected result is that once a new QR code is generated, the 3CX mobile app will become offline and not
able to be online until it scans the new QR code. What i experienced was that although i have not scan the new QR code,
my 3CX mobile app continues to be online and i am still able to logout and login to the 3CX mobile app.

Can anyone advise on this ?

Hi @Kwang Mien,

You're seeing the expected behaviour, because you did not regenerate the SIP ID and Authentication Passwords, meaning that though you've regenerating the provisioning file, what is currently saved in the App is still valid.

Go ahead and regenerate the SIP ID and Authentication Passwords, that should work for you.

Thanks for your reply. I have a Fanvil IP Phone provisioned using the same extension.

If i were to regenerate with a new SIP ID and Password, will the SIP ID and Password for the provisioned Fanvil IP Phone be changed as well ?

Hi @Kwang Mien,

Yes, once you regenerate, you'll need to reprovision the IP Phone as well.

Is there a way to regenerate the SIP ID and Password of the Mobile App without affecting the IP Phone ? the IP Phone will be used by the new staff and there is no need to change the SIP credentials of the phone.

Hi @Kwang Mien,

No, once you regenerate the SIP ID and Password, it will affect all devices associated to the extension itself.
