Just had a couple questions. I do not want to use any desktop phone or app, I just want my extension to forward to my cell.

1) Does 3CX support confirm calls? Where you answer on your cell and have to press 1 to answer, to prevent your cell phone voicemail from picking up?

2) Can I modify the caller ID just for my calls, so if someone calls my extension and it rings on my phone, if their name is JOHN SMITH, have the caller ID prepend a "O:" for example for Office, so it comes in as
O:JOHN SMITH?" So that I see the O: before any caller ID name and know it's an office call vs a call to my cell?

We use Avaya in our other office and can do the above but wasn't sure if 3CX can do this. Than kyou.

I'm not certain how #1 would work. If you answer the call on your mobile, then it is not going to the mobiles voicemail. Any call sent to the mobile, will go to the mobiles voicemail if it is not answered in the time you have set. You can't get around that. There is a call rebound feature

The method I use to determine that a call is coming via 3CX through caller ID. All incoming calls are prefixed with a 9, which I use as an access digit (that way calls can be returned using the caller ID). So...any call that has a 9 as a first digit, I know is though 3CX. If you don't use an access digit when calling out then this may not work for you.

Hello @checkinyyz

Please note that when using rebound the call will be announced and you can either chose to answer the call or choose send the call to voicemail (PBX voicemail) so what you want is possible.
You can enable this option under your extensions forwarding rules. Pick a status and edit the forwarding settings for either internal or external calls or both. Select forward to mobile number and enable Rebound.

The second requirement is a bit more tricky as it depends on a number of variables. You will need to create an Inbound rule for direct calls to your extension. Then you will need to navigate to contacts and under options enable the "Prepend Name" option. This will add the Inbound rule name to the caller ID.
You will then need to make sure that your provider supports this and that the name will not be stripped or replaced.
